  • El Instituto de la Mujer cuenta con diversas herramientas para detectar y eliminar la brecha salarial, disponibles en su web para las empresas de forma gratuita.
  • Según el último dato de la Encuesta de Estructura Salarial del INE, la brecha salarial entre mujeres y hombres supera el 22% de media anual.

Gerifel Cerillo is the coordinator of Tanggol Bavi, the Association of Women Human Rights Defenders in the Phillipines. Cerillo’s organization works mostly with the urban poor in and around Manila, where infrastructure problems place a burden on women. In February 2019, Cerillo attended the Regional Civil Society Strategizing Workshop in Bangkok for the 63rd Session of the Commission on the Status of Women and Beijing +25 Review.

Rajaa Altalli was 12 years old when her father was arrested by the Syrian government for being part of a political party. She thought she would never be involved in public life, but as the Syrian revolution erupted, she decided otherwise. Altalli is now a member of the Syrian Women’s Advisory Board (WAB), established by the UN Special Envoy for Syria to ensure that women’s perspectives and leadership is taken into account in the peace process.

  • El estudio, titulado ?Situación de las Mujeres en la Ingeniería Universitaria?, ha sido realizado por la Universidad de Alicante y financiado por el Instituto de la Mujer, en el marco del programa ?Quiero ser ingeniera?, que se desarrolla en varias universidades.
  • En las ingenierías, ciencias experimentales y arquitectura, la representación femenina es inferior al 30 %, y más del 50 % de matriculadas no termina la carrera.
  • Entre las propuestas del estudio para corregir la situación está ampliar el acceso a las ingenierías desde otros planes de estudios, y no solo desde la prueba de selectividad.
